Electronic Project Management - Intermediate Certificate Course

  • Master Microsoft Project 2000.
  • Use electronic Project Management tools to manage your day-to-day tasks and projects and enhance group productivity.

  • Facilitate the identification of activities to be performed and get more from your brainstorming sessions.
  • Prepare a Work breakdown Structure (WBS) to show how the project fits together and to facilitate communication and cooperation.
  • Learn to build Network Diagrams and use them to help schedule your tasks.
  • Establish the relationships among tasks and bring greater clarity to your plan.
  • Use the outlining feature of the software to display tasks logically.
  • Master Critical Path Analysis and related concepts to stay on top a timelines.
  • Identify the Critical Path for each of your projects so as to quickly determine project duration and achieve scheduled completion dates.
  • Understand the implications of the Critical Path for compressing schedules.
  • Use Gantt and PERT Charts to display your projects graphically.
  • Assign the resources required to complete tasks and incorporate their costs.
  • Manage resources and level over-allocated resources.
  • Manipulate calendars to reflect the availability of resources, including vacation leave. Answer 'who does what when' questions.
  • Add cost elements to your projects and manage cash flows.
  • View and customize a wide cross-section of reports on tasks, resources and projects.
  • Communicate project details electronically and incorporate implementation notes. Keep all parties in the loop without extra effort.
  • Display and print project information.
  • Save Baseline and Interim plan information and conduct variance analyses.
  • Update and monitor your projects.
  • Complete a Final Assignment: Plan and update a real project electronically!
