Basic Philosophy
A key factor underpinning our training philosophy
is a Carnegie Foundation sponsored study that indicated that 15%
of success on the job and consequently organizational success was
related to technical competence. 85% of success was related to inter-personal
skills. This puts interpersonal skills at the centre of organizational
development and we believe that it provides a solid platform for
human and organizational developmental training.
We are also very concerned about ensuring that
training should have sustained positive impact on participants and
the organization and that every attempt should be made to assess
this impact. Arising out of this, we favour the use of instrumented-learning
approaches, as well as, the use of benchmarking surveys.
Increasingly, organizations are gaining competitive
advantage in the marketplace as a result of the edge that their
staff has in the area of ‘people skills’. These skills have
to be honed in the same way that technical skills receive developmental
attention and training investment.
